Ratio's

GEG NZ SUMMIT Recount

On wednesday we went to GEG NZ Student SUMMIT (Google Education Groups) in Hobsonville Point Primary School.
We were greeted by Toby Carr CEO and Founder of DEXTECH.

The first place we went to was to a garage band presentation from a girl from Long Bay School. Her presentation didn’t go exactly the way she wanted it to but it was very helpful a lot of information. She used examples she was entertaining and a good speaker. We were not able to use garageband because of our computers. We noted this in a book and at the end she wanted a crowd so that she could sing using garageband in the background.

Then we went to go eat morning tea, before our first group presented, While the group got ready to present we went to go find a presentation we found one that was all about google apps like Google drive, Google Slides and Google Docs. They had online padlets for us to help them in there google slides and others…

The 3rd thing we went to was our presentation so we were all nervous and as soon as we got there. In this group was Mary, Collin, Taimana, Iisa, Ariana So we started presenting and the presentation was going good, Live actions. We were doing good as no troubles and everything was under control. There was work shown as well as animations.

Our final presentation for the day was google cardboard and the sphere. It was really cool and interesting. It is a thing on your phone and a cardboard box where you cover your eyes and you can move around and see things. Its kinda like Oculus Rift on your phone.

World War 1 Presentation

This term we have been working and looking around World War 1. Our teacher gave us a site all about a soldier called George Bollinger.

Zeal Zone Activity

Every Friday we go to Zeal Zone and we swap classes every week this week I was in Mrs's Moala. I was helped by Collin and Josh.

Video Conference With Two Hawaii School's

Today the year 7&8 extension done a video conference with two schools from Hawaii, called Kea'Au Elementary and Nanakuli Elementary. We will meet a amazing and famous crew that is sailing around the world with the boat Hokule'a. Lucky for the Maniakalani cluster of 2,500 kids in the Cluster the famous boat will be arriving at Pt England School Beach on the 24th of march, because they are so famous we will be welcoming them with Maori song's, Waiata's and a Presentation. Brynn and Kai
We have learnt about with the teacher, Brynn Kea'Au elementary as they shared there facts to us and we shared our some information to the school. We learnt that a volcano that had erupted is slowly taking out houses. The school get's updates about the lava Everyday. They have told us about how they learn how they move in the school.

We also talked to Kai a teacher from Nanakuli elementary. We learnt just as much as we did as Kea'Au

Last School Post

Hello, to all people who read my blog, I would like to say thank you and Merry Christmas and Happy New year. I may post more in the holidays, maybe if they are interesting for you guys. Anyway thanks for all the support and great comments. If you really do enjoy what I usually do then please leave me some feedback and I will get back to you.
